Why TBE? The US Army Medical Training Facility at Fort Drum NY is where combat medics run through a simulation experience in preparation for real-world medical responses in a combat zone. Ft. Drum's Training Personnel were looking for a way to monitor and review training sessions from a classroom setting; Tony Baird Electronics was called upon to create a solution. TBE learned the facility, talked with personnel, and worked with partners to design and install an IP-based audio and video capture solution that allows for the monitoring and archiving of all training events, in any simulation environments. TBE used a remote capture server to allow for remote access by an instructor, to review any footage (live or recorded), manipulate the content pertinent to a specific individual, save it to the trainee's personnel file, and doing this all without disrupting the recording process or compromising the training footage. Upon completion, Ft. Drum hosted a MSTC convention, visited by 18 Army training academies from around the country. TBE's solution was showcased as the premier solution for all the U.S. Armed Forces.
